Schlabach Security and Sound, Inc. has expanded its proficiency in the Home Automation and Control industry with the recent certification of an additional team member in the design and installation of the Control4 system. Ken Van Houten II, home theater technician, travelled to Charlotte, North Carolina to participate in a week long training and testing series to achieve Technician I status.

Control4 gives simple, practical control of music, movies, lights, temperature and security systems from anywhere in the home or anywhere in the world. Lighting control is one of the easier ways to save energy in the home. Lights can be preset to come on at 80% brightness, for example. Lori Peets Joins Schlabach Security and Sound Team

Schlabach Security and Sound in Lecanto is pleased to announce that Lori Peets has joined the local alarm and home theater design & installation company. Lori has 25 years of experience in accounting, having worked with business and construction related firms in Citrus County since 1993.

Peets has made Citrus County her home and resides with her husband of 24 years, Ron, and family. Ruth and Jarey Schlabach, owners of Schlabach Security, offer appreciation for Lori's experience in accounting and the positive attitude she shares with the thousands of Schlabach clients. She is a valued addition to the Schlabach Team.

Jarey Schlabach Earns (CCBA) Builders Association April 2011 VIP

Jarey Schlabach is President of Schlabach Security & Sound, Inc. (SSS). Jarey and his wife Ruth, are both native Floridians, born and raised in Sarasota. Jarey has been involved in the construction industry his whole life. His father has been a home builder in Sarasota since the early 1970's. Jarey learned what hard work was all about when he got a job right out of high school as a block mason. He attended ITT Technical Institute in Tampa and received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.

Jarey's work ethic stems from his Amish background. Both of his parents were raised Amish in Illinois and Ohio. They instilled in him the importance of God, family, hard work, honesty and humility.

In 1994 Ruth and Jarey opened SSS in Sarasota and in 1995 realized the opportunities in Citrus County and opened an office in Crystal River. In July of 1999 SSS opened a showroom in Lecanto, where they are still located today. SSS has grown into the largest Alarm and Low Voltage Integrator in Citrus County.

Jarey has served as the Associate Vice President of the Builders Association and has been a member since 1995. "Being a member of the CCBA has been an integral part of our success here in Citrus County" Jarey replied. He recommends membership to anyone in the industry to help face today's challenges.

SSS is a member of the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA). They have won several CEDIA Home Theater Awards.
